Enrych's Journey to New Horizons and Expanded Opportunities in 2024

As we wind down towards the new year, Enrych is moving to new premises. This marks an exciting new chapter in our journey as an organisation, and I can’t wait to see our new home in the coming year.

The end of the year is always a time to reflect on what we have accomplished and the things we want to pursue in the next year. The ultimate question we can all ask ourselves is, 'Wouldn’t it be amazing if?' This is a question I think about a lot as I look for ways for Enrych to reach greater heights.

If you didn’t already know, Enrych is all about making many things possible for people with disabilities, poor mental health, and long-term health conditions. We recently received recognition for our hard work this year at the North West Leicestershire Health and Wellbeing Awards, and we aren’t stopping there.

Our biggest objective for 2024 is to expand our employability programme further. Throughout 2023, we have consistently worked towards this by creating opportunities for social interaction and overall confidence building. Many testimonials from our clients reveal the true impact we have had on their confidence and well-being.

This is where the journey begins, with our incredible team of support workers. With their help, our clients can become more independent in sourcing local opportunities for volunteering. As a former volunteer myself, I can tell you how great the experience was. It built my confidence from being a socially withdrawn and isolated college student to an individual who could see a world of opportunity.

While I faced adversity before finding my place at Enrych, my goal is to help those who have been through similar experiences find meaningful opportunities. I am working to help people identify both their hard and soft skills, documenting previous work experiences to assist them in applying for new jobs where fulfilment is key. Another thing I have done is use my experience to build out my LinkedIn profile and help those accessing our employability programme make themselves visible to more people. LinkedIn is a fantastic space to make potential employers aware of you and what you can bring to them.

Passionately helping people who have faced difficulties in employment is what I will continue to do, and I look forward to meeting more people who seek to use our employability programme at Enrych. My side project will be continuing to educate as many organisations as possible, making them aware of the strengths that neurodivergent and disabled individuals have and how they can elevate the performance of those organisations.

I hope you all have a great end to the year, and I take this moment to send everybody my best wishes for the new year. I am optimistic about a new year full of learning and development for us all. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
